ESTAR and MSTAR Universal Screener
ESTAR and MSTAR Diagnostic Assessment
STAAR Exam
Homework and Classroom Tests
The ESTAR and MSTAR Universal Screeners are used to screen students for algebra-readiness. They tell us which students are at risk and their level of risk. The ESTAR and MSTAR Diagnostic Assessments are used to tell us why students are struggling with algebra-readiness content. They will provide teachers with information about the consistent misconceptions and errors those struggling students make. The STAAR exams, students' homework, and students' classroom tests can be used to gather additional information about the students. That information can be used when discussing if a diagnostic assessment is necessary or when planning supplemental instruction.
