  • It is an integer that divides into another integer without a remainder.

Example

4 x 5 = 20
20 ÷ 5 = 4

The numbers 4 and 5 are factors of 20.


2 x 2 x 5 = 20


The numbers 2, 2, and 5 are factors of 20.
