Now we are going to look at factors that affect the activity of enzymes using the following interactive. Use the online stopwatch and scroll down for directions on how to complete the interactive activity.

First we are going to look at how temperature affects enzyme action. Follow the directions below to complete the lab.

1. Copy the data table below into your notes.

Temperature	10 °	25 °	60 °

2. Enter the following values into the interactive
   
   
   • Enzymes - 2
   • Subtrates - 20
   • Inhibitors - 0
   • Temperature - 10
   • Container - 400
   • pH - 7
3. Click on setup
4. You will use the stopwatch tool to time for one minute. Press start on the stopwatch, and then immediately press start on the interactive. Let the interactive run for one minute and then press stop on the interactive.
5. Count the number of products (red dots) that were produced and record in the data table (the one you copied into your notes). Reset the stopwatch.
6. Repeat Steps 2-5 using the following settings. (Notice you are only changing the temperature.) Make sure that you clicked setup so that the interactive resets.
