Now that you have become an expert in topography and urbanization, you will put that knowledge to work. Use what you have learned to determine where cities are most likely to develop based upon the natural and manmade features and the trends in urbanization of  the area.

Given the resources below, you will write a letter to the editor of a major Texas newspaper predicting where cities in Texas are most likely to develop. Use the notes that you have taken so far in the resource to write this letter.

Use the EPIC strategy to formulate your letter:

• Engage your audience (get the attention of your audience with a short dramatic statement;    no more than 2 sentences.)
  
• Present the Prediction. Introduce your prediction of developing cities here.
  
• Inform your audience. Provide the information that supports your prediction; provide facts here.
  
• Call to Action. Now that you have informed your audience and provided proof, tell the audience what you want them to do. For example, should they stop polluting or preserve the wetlands, etc.
