Globalization is a process by which regional economies, societies, and cultures have become integrated through a global network of communication, transportation, and trade. The bananas that you eat for breakfast in Texas have been grown in Ecuador and have been shipped to the United States for you to eat at breakfast.

Interdependence means being mutually dependent. On a global level this means that countries are dependent upon one another to achieve a certain goal. Due to interdependence we rely upon those bananas being shipped into the United States from Ecuador while Ecuador imports agricultural products and technological products from the United States.
