Religion is a major part of many cultures around the world. In some regions, one religion is dominant while the cultural landscape of other regions is filled with a mix of different religions.

In this lesson, you will learn about seven of the world's major religions. You will examine a brief history and some basic beliefs of each religion and identify important information, such as observances and texts or documents associated with each one.

This lesson will also identify the location where each religion originated and locate the areas of spatial distribution of selected religions.
