  • Number sense includes proficiency with mental math, reasonable estimation, and connections among the four operations.

  • Number sense is an understanding of numbers and number relationships, including symbolic representations such as number sentences.

  • Number sense includes the ability to use numbers to solve problems fluently and flexibly.
